Yes I know it says 5 twice.
Long story short, probably not. Due to college and other obligations keeping my arthands busy, in order to update this blog with any real effort, I’d have to sacrifice either artistic effort or a reliable update schedule. I miiight do that anyway, but only if I get a question I feel like it’d be seriously worth the time to answer (as opposed to time spent doing other things).
However, I do have a few ideas related to Celestia that I’d still like to draw out at some point, so I might just use this blog as a dumping ground for princess art I think other people would like to see. I’m sort of considering drawing something related to video games, but I’m a little worried that this blog could shift into GamerCelestia as opposed to the canonCelestia I wanted it to be.
Though I suppose if you wanted to request Celestia doing something without phrasing it as a question, now would be a good time to do that.
I hate that, is please, if you’re going to make an art blog with a brand new character, please do it well. Don’t make the character crappy all because YOU don’t know how to character is.

I know I don’t normally reblog stuff, but since this is so grammatically broken but so essentially accurate, and some people didn’t understand it, I decided to… elaborate, I guess.
What this confession means is that it refers to when someone sees a new character, they will sometimes make an askblog right away for that character, regardless of how much they actually understand the character. Like, if someone started a Babs Seed Tumblr and made her 100% douche with no motivation or reason, because the episode wasn’t out yet and they were just going on promotional clips. Maybe they’ve seen the full intro episode for that character, but they make the blog anyway, without taking the time to wonder if they actually understand the characterization and if they’d be able to write that well.
Or maybe they just make the character ghettofab. (though that’s more forgivable because it’s clearly just a joke and a hilarious one at that, like comment subscribe)
The confession claims that the main motivation for doing this is just so they can be the first blog for that character out there and many people will follow them more out of novelty than out of quality. Which… is probably accurate in some instances, but I don’t think it’s the key motivation. Sometimes it’s just through poor impulse control (like most of my blogs WOOPS), sometimes it’s just because they really like the design or something… maybe some blogs actually DO like the characters themselves and know them to some degree, but they still jump in all feet forward without any foresight.
I remember back when the Flim-Flam Brothers were introduced, someone made an askblog for them. It had a single post, then died. Then it was given another mod, had one or two posts… then died again. I’m not going to put words in their mouths, since I don’t know the why, but this is pretty much what the confession is talking about. Don’t make a blog for a character unless you understand exactly what you plan to do with that character, and that you plan to actually follow through with it. Don’t make an askblog just to be the first dude with that character’s askblog.
Do you want to get a cool pic like the ones seen here?
Well in the near future, I’m gonna be doing a deal where you can purchase a commission like one of these for $5! Is that not neat?
At least I’m aging gracefully… one of my guards once referred to this look as “punky”. I think that’s a good thing?
